Domo's Accident

I had blocked the banister rails with large pieces of cardboard before bringing Domo home to prevent the tragedy of instant death of a newly adopted kitten. The other human was skeptical that any animal would be so stupid and without instinct as to suicidally plunge one story between wooden posts (unless chased by the big cat) and a few days later I removed a cardboard piece closest to the top of the stairs.

Sure enough, today, we hear a thump and witness poor Domo roll partway down the stairs and scramble all the way down the rest. No broken bones or brain damage, at least from the looks of it. My brother suggested the possibility of the big cat pushing him, but seemingly the big cat was sulking on the master bathroom floor at the time of the incident.
